Are the Bibles placed in hotel rooms there for us to take away with us when we leave?
NO! Jesus said I was hungry and you gave me no meal. I was thirsty and you gave me no drink. I was homeless and you gave me no place to lay my head. I was shivering and you gave me no clothes.Sick and in prison ,and you never visited me. When ever you fail to do one of these things for someone else, you failed to do it for me.Matthew 25:41-46
Actually, yes. The gideons would be quite happy if you took one of their bibles to use as your own personal bible to start on a relationship with God.
How MANY.... times have YOU.... stayed in HOTEL ROOMS.... THIS YEAR? __________ ?
The Bibles are Placed by the Gideons... AND IF YOU NEED ONE..... Please... TAKE ONLY ONE!
Thanks, RR
No
I don't know if the Gideons place them for people to take home - but I doubt anyone would get in trouble for taking one. It would just be replaced.
No, just in case you need comfort from God's word.
Oooooo I think I'll take it next time I stay in a hotel!
But wait... won't the hotel charge me?
The Gideons would love for you to take it and read it. So would I. You'll be reading the greatest book ever written.
Yep---the Word of God is to be freely shared!
I took the ';Teachings of Buddha'; from the last American Hotel that I stayed in. Techically, I guess I stole it, but it was so much more interesting than the Bible in the room, that I could not resist it.
I justified it to myself by telling myself that I was being charged an exorbitant fee for the room, which was probably true in this case.
I dont think so. You should ask first. It may be differet in every hotel.
Yes.
Most Bibles placed in hotels tell you that you are welcome to take the Bible with you.
If you tell the front desk that you plan to take it, they have a supply available to replace it.

The Gideons place them there for the purpose of (hopefully) leading ppl to a saving knowledge of Christ, %26amp; if you need to take it home to study it properly, then so be it. They just replace it.
its there for you to read it there and not to bring it home(^^)
i like to replace them with the Le Vay version,
it is short enough that you can read it in one night,
No but I'm sure they wouldn't mind.
They will be replaced.
I'm sure the Gideons won't mind if you took one.
Honestly....if you took it home and your faith grew because of God's word in your life, then YES!
If it offends you to have them in your room, throw them out in an outside trashcan or the dumpster. They have no right to place bibles in rooms used by people of many or no faiths.
There is no law under which you can be prosecuted. If they try, it will lead to ACLU and supreme court involvement.
That would be a good thing.
They are their for Dalek target practice
No. It's thin enough paper so that if you're out of zig-zags, you can still get 'er done. (use Leviticus, no one will notice)
If only more people would, perhaps they would actually read them.
Never leave a room without one.
Good deed for the day.
