Smoking in hotel rooms...?

Are there any hotels in the UK that allow you to smoke in the rooms?

I know that alot of them ban smoking altogether but are there any at all that allow you to smoke in the room?Smoking in hotel rooms...?
I thought most hotels offer both smoking and nonsmoking rooms...at least a few years ago they did...always had to request nonsmoking so I wouldn't suffocate in the room lol

Probably you will have to go outside...as it should beSmoking in hotel rooms...?
Smoking is Not Allowed in any enclosed working area.

Hotels cannot provide ';smoking rooms'; any more because the hotel rooms are also considered to be the workplace of the hotel staff.

Chambermaids and maintenance staff are not allowed to work in smoke-contaminated environments.

That should answer your question without further ado.

The www.hotelsmoking.co.uk site does not list any hotels that allow smoking.
Apparently it is still legal. Have a look at www.hotelsmoking.co.uk
in certain hotels you will be allowed to smoke,in others you may not smoke, its all down to the owners and stuff
Hotel rooms are exempt from the ban so yes, you can smoke in them

don't listen to the people who are saying no you can smoke I swear!
yes,to my disappointment express by holiday inn
What are they going to do? Kick you out?
Nooooooo!
a few.. but reason they do it to save decorating costs.. same with work places..

I'm a smoker, but well they should have left it down to the pubs or whatever if they wanted to go to no smoking..

they are happy enough to take my tax for the cigs though..
no sorry, they did used to do non smoking and smoking areas but now they are all confined spaces so no.
the last hotel which i stayed, park plaza in this month, which was a four star, asked me if i wanted a smoking or non smoking room which i thought was weird coz i thought smoking ban meant no smoking indoors, anyway i said non smoking and as you do i got a smoking room, had a ashtray, matches and burns on the carpets, and i also could smell smoke from the rooms nearby

so i'm guessing yes
As far as I'm aware no place can legally allow,

You to smoke in their premises without risking a fine.

Thank you :)
Yes..the Thistle hotels do...at least the one on Oxford Street in London does..I was there before xmas and they asked me if I wanted smoking or non.
It is still legal for a certain proportion of hotel rooms to be designated as smoking rooms, but many chains are trying to stop providing smoking rooms as policy.

This is outrageous and smokers should fill in complaint forms everytime they stay in a hotel that doesn't allow smoking. It is NOT AGAINST THE LAW for hotels to provide designated smoking rooms, and if a hotel employee tells you that it is, they have, more than likely, been misinformed by their management. It is company policy, not law. However, if there are no designated smoking rooms in a hotel, then it is an offence to smoke.

Affected Premises

2.5 In general all premises where the public can resort or premises where people work are no smoking premises and these are detailed in Schedule 1 of the Act. The only exemptions comprise residential accommodation, designated rooms in adult care homes, adult hospices, designated rooms in psychiatric hospitals, designated hotel bedrooms, detention or interview rooms which are designated, designated rooms in off-shore installations and private vehicles. There are no other exemptions.
Nooooooooo

Just give up MAN!
They did in the Hilton by the NEC a couple weekends ago. still had seperate floors and had to request smoking or non smoking.
