Can an 18 yr old pay for a hotel room?

My boyfriend might be coming to visit, and I was wondering if he could get a hotel room even if he is 18. Does anyone know?

Thanks! Can an 18 yr old pay for a hotel room?
you have to call the hotel and ask. I got hotel rooms when I was 18, but a couple times i was told there must be at least one person over 21 in the room. It depends on the hotel and the laws in the areas. Some areas require you to be 21 because of prostitution problems. Can an 18 yr old pay for a hotel room?
It depends where you are. If you are in UK then at 18 you are an adult so of course you can get a hotel room. I don't know the rules anywhere else, but I don't see any reason why not as long as he has a credit card to secure the room.
UMMMMM shure if you have money to pay for the hotel room, what are you gonna do in this hotel room?
yes an 18 yr old can get a hotel room

Christians, would you have a problem with a Muslim group putting copies of the Koran in hotel rooms...?

...with the Bible?Christians, would you have a problem with a Muslim group putting copies of the Koran in hotel rooms...?
NopeChristians, would you have a problem with a Muslim group putting copies of the Koran in hotel rooms...?
I wouldn't mind either.
That would be kool

I'd like to compare them both

but since I own both already I can do that at home
Don't really know any Christians that would personally. And I know many Christians.

Isn't this more a question for Polls and Surveys, though?

Matt
Of course they would. Of course, that opens up another can of worms, I think. Why can't I put copies of a Stephen King novel in hotel rooms? They're all just as fictional.
Absolutely not. Though I am not the one who dictates what is put in hotel rooms.
As long as it's an English translation... otherwise, it would be of no use to anyone who didn't speak Arabic. Some motels already have a Book of Mormon along with the Bible. I have no problem with it. No one is forced to read anything.
Not if I lived in a muslim nation. This country and it's traditions aren't based on Islam, why mess it up.
not at all. So the question should be WHY DON'T THEY?
no, it will only collect dust just as the bible.
Personally I say put them both side by side and let every person read each in its entirety and reflect on both of them. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is proven out through the scriptures.
No, of course not. I have read it, along with the Book of Mormon and Dyanetics. How can one comment on a religion if one knows nothing of it. Not that it stops most people on here.
We do put them in hotel rooms, there are already some places, some hotels that have them but were trying so that all of em have a Qur'an.
not at all
It's the right of the hotel owners to put whatever reading material they want, or none at all, in the room.
It is only fair. Either have them all, or none at all, so you have to include the book of Mormon, Iliad and the Odyssey, etc. In fact, throw in The God Delusion for good measure.
No. Not at all. In fact i have read the Koran. I beieve that if anyone is confident in his faith then there is no need to fear anyone else's faith.
I think if they include the bible, then they should include all religions and belief systems.

This is USA ';freedom of religion'; which is a great thing!

I mean even though the Koran in particular list things such as:

Koran Sura 5:51 commands Muslims not to take Jews and Christians (infidels) as friends

Koran Sura 9:29 commands Muslims to fight against Jews and Christians until they either submit to Allah or die by the sword.

Koran Sura 2:65-66 and Sura 5:60 contain references to Jews as “apes and swine to be despised and rejected.”

and children's songs contain phrases like “until their blood runs in the streets” and “we will become martyrs for Allah”.

Why not, I guess that isn't any worse than watching certain violent things on TV in the hotel room.

So I say sure do it, but include all religions and ';belief systems'; to make it balanced for everyone.... they better get book shelves for the rooms.

OR maaayyybe they could not have any books in the rooms because I am sure any who would want to read religious books would bring their own.
I certainly wouldn't. Unfortunately, most Christians rarely open their own bible, so a Koran probably wouldn't make many waves.
I could care less. I'm not gonna read them.
I think that if you request on reservation or at the desk you could probably get one at most bigger hotel chains. Sadly, even the capitalist portion of our country still assumes everyone is a Christian.

  • Are you allowed to drink alcohol in your hotel room if on jury service?

As long as you don't imbibe enough that it prevents you from performing your duties as a juror it is fine... however the Judge may set rules for you that require you not to.Are you allowed to drink alcohol in your hotel room if on jury service?
why not?its not probation.just like one of your other answerers said,as long as it doesn't affect you in the court room.take it easy. Are you allowed to drink alcohol in your hotel room if on jury service?
Not before you go to court. LOL! Maybe after.
    Yes.
Why would you be in a hotel?. I have done jury service twice, but went home every night
    never

    i don't like it

    : )))
Most definitely. Just make sure that you have some breath mints the next morning or whenever you have to be back in court. Make sure you have some Red Bull too so you don' t fall asleep in court. Good times!!!

Is it allowed to use candles in a hotel room?

im going to a wedding at the weekend and have a posh hotel room booked..thought id make it romantic for me and my boyfriend by using candles...i was going to put them around the room (safely of course) and in the bathroom etc to create a nice atmosphere (you get the idea) BUT, is this ok?or will it set any alarms off etc?as long as im careful with them as i am at home will i be ok or are there rules about this kinda thing?

    thanks

Is it allowed to use candles in a hotel room?
Its based on each hotels rules and regulations. Like someone above said, some fire alarms are extra sensitive in hotels. Your best bet is to ring the hotel beforehand and ask :)

Have a good time! :)Is it allowed to use candles in a hotel room?
The smoke alarm is your main concern, most I have been in say the alarm is so sensitive that even steam from the shower can set it off

The last thing you want is to be stood outside doing a head count in the freezing cold at 2am.

This happened to us once (no we weren't to blame before you ask!)

Give the hotel a bell and ask if it is allowed
I have used candles a couple of times in hotels with no bother. I do stay in smoking rooms though - no idea if that makes any difference. Just make sure you put something sturdy and heat proof under each candle - you don't want burnt furniture added to your bill!

    Enjoy your night!
Go for it! I always take travel candles with me and have never had a problem with smoke alarms or staff. In fact, some hotels even provide candles in the rooms. I like the fragrance and I love my candle lit baths. As long as you're sensible there won't be any issues at all.
Glad you asked this haha cause me n my bf are going to be staying in a hotel over my 21st, and i was wondering the same thing!

Youve got two options i reckon...1.Get ur bf to phone the hotel and ask - get him to tell a porkie like say he is whisking u away for a secret romantic weekend and he wants to know if he can use candles.

or 2. Dont phone, just go ahead and risk it!
I don't think you are as it would probably start a fire alarm and would be classed as a danger hassared, but depends ask the hotel.
As long as your careful it should be fine. Candles arent going to set off any fire alarms unless they are smoking a lot which i doubt they will.

    Have fun!
Check with reception, but they might say no as it is comfortable option. I would take a risk and enjoy- you are not going anywhere!!!
What they don't know can't hurt them. Just dont burn the place down, kay?

What kind of card can I use online to book a hotel room fast? (I don't have a credit card)?

My hubby and I wanna go outta town and reserve a hotel room online cause its cheaper..problem is we both don't have credit cards and we wanna do this asap. If I run to the store and buy a Visa Gift card, will they accept that? I'd get a debit card, but it takes a week or 2 to get it and we want something fast..thanxWhat kind of card can I use online to book a hotel room fast? (I don't have a credit card)?
You can use your debit cardWhat kind of card can I use online to book a hotel room fast? (I don't have a credit card)?
yes you can use a prepaid visa card- just make sure you put enough to cover a week's worth because hotels usually put a hold on whatever card you use for the approx amount for the duration of your stay

Why are hotel rooms so creepy?

Ok, so my job requires me to stay in a hotel room at least once a month. And I have noticed that hotel rooms naturally give me the creeps..even if its new..Why is that do you think? Not so much fear...just an uneasy feeling...like your being watched or something...anyway..just curious...I am on night number 11 in one now and just thought I would ask..haha thanks!!Why are hotel rooms so creepy?
ugh, ever since I saw a Dateline episode where they took a blacklight into a hotel room I cannot touch anything in one with my bare skin. Why are hotel rooms so creepy?
Because it's not home, where your heart is.
I find them creepy too! Personally, I don't enjoy sleeping in places that aren't my own bed. Being in a unknown place makes things a little uncomfortable, as well as not knowing who or what was in the room before you can make things seem creepy. I've also watched a lot of horror movies that occur in hotels. Realistically I don't usually feel fear in them either, but I usually can't wait to get out the next day! It also depends where the hotel is located. I feel more uncomfortable when the hotel is in a more remote area, rather than a big city.
I pretty much live in hotels and extended stay properties all over the country while working, and I don't find them creepy. In most cases, I try to stay at quality places (Hilton, Marriott, etc.). My obsession is, it has got to be clean!
you are probably sensitive - if the room feels cold (a/c notwithstanding)

usually indicates spirit there. Keep Psalm 91 handy - they have Bibles in hotel rooms - open it to that page - it is protection, read it a few times - you'll feel better and God Bless.
i think everyone who stays in a hotel room leaves a sort of energy in the air behind. it could be that these energies and the fact that you aren't at your own home could be the reason why you are uncomfortable
    cus youre alone

and u know know whats ever happened there

ihate being there by myself too :)
Depending on the country and the age of the place you're staying in, a high EM field from older wiring can cause anxiousness, anxiety, and similar feelings like you're being watched. It could also mean that you, like many in the population, are just more sensitive to EM fields than most and feel the effects more readily than others. The detection of EM fields is one tool we use in Paranormal Investigations to debunk a place believed to be haunted. In many cases strong EM fields caused by many factors are to blame than the presence of an entity. The human body is very reactive to magnetic fields.

Stronger EM fields can be caused by older wiring, good wiring with bad shielding, electrical appliances that are older or may have damage (a recent case in one hotel found where a faulty overhead fan's EM field was causing problems for EM sensitive people).

Finding out if this is your problem is easy enough - Gauss/milliGauss meters (EM Field meters) are fairly inexpensive, although the rise in paranormal investigations has made their price go up recently. Take one when you travel, and in those areas where you feel uneasy, use the meter to check outlets, appliances, lights, electrical fixtures, etc., and take readings where you feel the effects. Take a comparison reading in areas where you feel comfortable before you travel to get an idea of the field you're most at ease in, then use it to see how it matches with readings in areas that make you uneasy. If the EM field is stronger than just background, or stronger than your baseline comparison, it's likely the cause of your problem. You'll know for sure as you compare different areas over time.

As I said, many people are EM field sensitive without realizing it - they just attribute it to other factors or keep it to themselves. You can get EMF meters locally or online.

What are hotel rooms like in Florence, Italy?

I am a student planning on taking a trip to Italy over Christmas break to visit my boyfriend, and I am trying to find a good place to stay that is somewhat cheap. I would just stay with my boyfriend, but he has two roommates and I don't want to inconvenience them. I would also like to have some quality alone time with him. I've heard, though, that especially in the kinds of hotels I would be looking for (economically priced), the rooms and beds in Italian hotels can be rather small. I was just wondering if anyone had any input or suggestions for me.What are hotel rooms like in Florence, Italy?
There are a wide range of hotels in Florence. You can use sites like Venere.com to narrow down your choices: http://www.venere.com/italy/florence/ . The places I've stayed did not have particularly small beds, but I suspect they were a bit above your price range (e.g., Hotel Duomo). There are some hotels in Europe with fairly small beds in single rooms, but that isn't always so even with the cheaper places. The reviews on the Venere site and places like tripadvisor can help narrow down to something that suits you. Certainly, you won't be the only one visiting a boy/girl friend during the term. Your boyfriend can ask other students for recommendations too and find something that's conveniently located to where he is that's in your range. What are hotel rooms like in Florence, Italy?

Hi there, you're right in that few places in the world have hotel rooms the size of which you find in the states, however Italy certainly has some great places to stay. I'd recommend a website called Cheap Hotel Chains, it will allow you to search Florence, view the listed hotels (pics and info) and then click to book at the best price. Additionally, I'd recommend you check any of the hotels you like on Trip Advisor and see what other people say. Have a great time, Florence is a beautiful city!

  • Why do hotel rooms never have lights in the ceilings except in the bathrooms or entryway?

I've always wondered why every hotel I've ever stayed in (except for some of small and usually expensive independent hotels) never have lights in the ceilings in the rooms and instead rely on table and floor lamps to light the room. I always feel like these never provide enough light, not to mention that it is annoying at night to go to every light in the room and turn them all off.

What really puzzles me is how EVERY hotel I stay in seems to be set up this way. I could see if only one chain thought that it was better, but how does every single one seem to go along with this method of lighting rooms? Why do hotel rooms never have lights in the ceilings except in the bathrooms or entryway?
It's simple, really -- changing a light bulb on the ceiling would most likely require that the maid haul a ladder in there and change it while she's cleaning the room (that would take way too much time, they're busy enough as it is), or having to do the same while the room is occupied (would be difficult to navigate the ladder around a room with your stuff all scattered about).

It's much easier to change light bulbs in lamps, etc.Why do hotel rooms never have lights in the ceilings except in the bathrooms or entryway?
You need to stay in cheaper hotels. Like the ones with a single light bulb hanging on a wire from the ceiling.
The lights are probably placed in areas that provide the room with a relaxing mood..suitable for sleeping, with just

some warm light in corners. Usually they do have a master/switch system on the bedside table for easy turning on/off.

Why are hotel rooms with refrigerators & microwaves so hard to find?

Esp. in Houston. Unless you get some $300 a night executive suite @ the Hilton, Marriott or Sheraton you're stuck with a crappy room . I stayed @ a Hampton Inn in Houston last night %26amp; the room had none of that so I couldn't bring home my leftovers from my restuarant %26amp; had keep my sodas on ice which gets VERY messy.

Why can't refridgerators be a standard feature like the hair dryers %26amp; irons/boards. They;re not THAT expensive :((Why are hotel rooms with refrigerators %26amp; microwaves so hard to find?
You are looking at the wrong kind of hotel.

You need the ';businessman'; or ';extended stay'; type of hotel. These ALWAYS have fridge, micro, stove, sink, dishes, utensils, etc.

Try Spring Hill Suites or Hilton Garden. They are just a bit more expensive than Fairfield Inn or Hampton Inn, but they are better suited to your needs. Also Extended Stay America and Residence Inn.

Oddly enough, some low-cost motel chains are adding a small fridge and micro to all rooms. Knights Inn's are budget oriented. Their rooms are basic but clean. Also check out Microtel and Baymont.

My wife and I have been travelling together for nearly 40 years. We've been to all 50 states, and continue to travel. We like to have a fridge and micro in our rooms, too.Why are hotel rooms with refrigerators %26amp; microwaves so hard to find?
You can search and choose hotel information, rates and availability for free in over 200 countries world wide at my profile.
Yes, but people trash them all the time. Only the expensive places can afford to keep them up and replace them often. Refrigerators may not be much money but they do use a lot of energy too. I just wish the cheaper hotels would wash their comforters every time someone checks out and buy some decent sheets and pillows. Gross!
Unfortunately, if hotel rooms contain fridges and microwaves, they stop becoming hotels, and become self catering apartments. Hotels want you to use their restaurants, so no microwaves.

Try looking for self-catering apartments. You may find something more to your liking.
It comes down to the Star rating of the hotel. 1-star and 2-star motels/hotels generally have fridges. Before making a reservation, call and ask. Mariott Fairfield Inn's always have fridges/microwaves (or at least one) along with Howard Johnson hotels.

3-star and above --- unless it's a wet bar fridge, they want you to order room service, use the hotel restaurant, etc.

These are additional avenues of profit to the hotel. It also cuts cost by allowing maids to clean faster; along with potential hidden food odors.
Residence Inn by Marriott, Springhill Suites by Marriott, Homewood Suites by Hilton ...boom....boom...and boom

    $119/night even during SuperBowl week
They probably want you to eat in their restaurant.

In just about any motel, if there isn't a micorwave oven in the room, you can use the one where the continental breakfast area is.

Reviews Of Hotel Rooms In LAS VEGAS, HELP!?

So ok...lately i've been reading different ';reviews'; from different websites of Las Vegas, NV hotel rooms and now im scared!

Scared of what...not getting my money's worth and i do need something a little cheap for the weekend next month (got a wedding to attend to).

    And all the reviews i've read so far are saying ';Don't Stay Here! Its NOT Worth It, This %26amp; That Is Was Wrong With It, etc...';

***Especially when they say the bath tub clogs up with someone else's left over hair from days before ';Ewww';!!

***Or saying they saw a cockroach running around, the room's carpet has some sort of stain with mildew smell, and the bed sucks you in between that its too uncomfortable to pass out on!

    So my question is...

What Hotel Is Worth Staying @ For 2Nights (ON THE STRIP) For A Cheap Price? (for friday and saturday night)

    OR Better Yet...

Which website would YOU recommend to me for ';true, honest'; reviews of Las Vegas Hotel Room?

    Thanks For All Your Help!

:)Reviews Of Hotel Rooms In LAS VEGAS, HELP!?
The only hotels I wouldn't really want to stay at is Imperial Palace, Tropicana, and Harrah's. Not because there is anything wrong with them, but they are budget hotels and they show it. I prefer to pay a budget price, but still be in a nice room.

For the best price, location, and room I would definitely recommend Excalibur. You cannot trust any reviews on this hotel because since it is deemed a budget hotel, most people assume the worst, or maybe even look for what's wrong with it. In all honesty it is my favorite hotel to stay in. It is located within walking distance to everything, only a 10-15 minute scenic walk to center strip. It currently has rates from $36/night (how can you beat that), and for just $10-$20 more per night (still a bargain) you can upgrade to their Newly renovated Widescreen room which I highly recommend. They are beautiful with nice warm tones, a marble countertop in the bathroom, and a 42'; widescreen tv. When you are in that room, you feel like you are in an upscale hotel at a budget price. They have great restaurants, a great food court with Quiznos, McDonalds, Krispy Kreme, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and more. They are connected to Luxor and Mandalay Bay through an inside walkway/mall, and are right across the street from MGM Grand. Their casino is huge, but all layed out in one big square so it is easier to find your way around. Their cocktail waitresses are great about coming around often for free drinks, and you can play forever with $5 on a nickel video poker machine.

    Some others to consider are

    Luxor from $50/night

    Monte Carlo from $49/night

    Some general good-comments hotels:

1, Jw Marriott Resort Las Vegas

    221 North Rampart Boulevard

    2, Bally's Hotel Las Vegas

    3645 Las Vegas Boulevard South

3, Holiday Inn Express Nellis Las Vegas

    4035 North Nellis Boulevard

4, Golden Nugget Hotel Las Vegas

    129 East Fremont Street
Howard Johnson. Can be cheap. Put your highest price your willing to stay at on the Strip thru priceline.com, personally my midweek offer of $26.00 got me the Stratosphere. Good deal!

Fri/Sat/Sun are the highest $$$ room rates. No refunds thru priceline.com name your own price.
Don't believe everything you read. Harrahs and the Flamingo are just fine mid strip, actually I thing Harrahs has better rooms and a better Buffet.
On the strip i would pick either the Tropicana, Imperial Palace is good or the Flamingo or Ballys.. I usually stay at the orleans off the strip due to cheap rooms..
My friend when to Circus Circus and like it there.

    All my best.
I think you are worrying too much. All major hotels on the strip can be stayed at without being grossed out. Still, having said that, and having stayed at many of them over the years, the ones that I wouldn't stay at are Circus Circus, Imperial Palace, and (because of the bad location -- not the rooms) the Stratosphere. Places like Circus and Imperial Palace may be $10 to $30 cheaper per night, but saving that small amount of money is a bad tradeoff when you can get much higher quality rooms (with better maid service) for just that little bit more.

I pretty much agree with what others here have advised as to what hotels to avoid and which are reasonable to consider.
When I look at the reviews, there are 3 things I look at:

    1) Whether the person states the positives and the negatives.

    2) The most recent comments.

    3) And how many of the same comments are made.

To me if a person only dwells on the good or the bad, they are a bit biased. If the complaints are 5 months or more old, chances are the issue got fixed. If they are the only one to complain about the one issue, chances are they are picky.

With that said, as much as I personally don't care for the Excalibur, it is cheap stay for on the strip. The more central you get, the higher the prices.
Let me first say I am a Las Vegas regular. Was there three weeks ago, last weekend and I am going again in three weeks. I go about 12 time a year (from Southern California) and I stay from 3-5 nights per trip. Now, I must also say that my rooms are comped (free), but, I still know most of the hotels. I usually stay at the Hilton, but it's pricey if you're paying.

Try the El Cortez. It's an older place with nice rooms, a couple of blocks from downtown. Good restaurants inside. Request a Tower Room. I have some friends that have found good rates at the Stratosphere and the Rivera. Try their web sites. Forget the reviews. Some people are happy if the room only has two cockroaches, some people aren't happy with a suite. I require clean, quiet, and in a safe neighborhood.

    Hope this helps.
Some people just respond to respond. They think they should go on the cheap and when they have to pay more than they want, they pan the hotel.

All hotels are checked by the various entities. A bug or two are not unusual when you are in the middle of the Mohave Desert. And some of the bugs are carried by those people coming to the hotel. However, if you saw a bug or the carpet was dirty, etc., you contact the hotel management and they would fix it or change your room.

The deals in Vegas are very good right now. Check out local TV Channel 8 for links www.lasvegasnow.com

Personally I make up my own mind, including movies or TV shows, and not depend on thought addled thoughts of strangers
I recently returned from a trip to vegas n we stayed at the stratosphere I believe we paid 34 buck for our room it was a thursday but the weekends are pretty cheap there also....Our room was very very nice the swimming pool was awesome. I mean real good environment. I highly recomend it if u want something inexpensive...
29% of guest reviews on TripAdvisor rate Imperial Palace as ';poor'; or ';terrible'; so I would not stay there. That was out of about 1,600 reviews so that's called a valid sample size. (Generally, 400 or more responses make up an accurate opinion sampling... I used to work in market research)

On the other hand, about 10% of people are chronic complainers. They'll always find something to complain about no matter how fantastic and perfect their experience was.

Last year when I was researching a trip to Las Vegas, Wynn had repeated and numerous complaints about rude employees. This year, that isn't an issue. So sometimes a problem is only temporary. Such as complaints about the elevators at Mirage not working a few months ago.

What I would do, if you want to thoroughly research your question, is go to tripadvisor.com, look up reviews for the hotels you're considering, and calculate the percentage of ';excellent'; and ';very good'; reviews written and compare it to the percentage of ';poor'; and ';terrible'; reviews.

So if you find that Hotel A has 25% favorable and 15% unfavorable reviews while Hotel B has 45% favorable and 12% unfavorable reviews... you can be confident that Hotel B is a better choice.

In my opinion, the best low priced hotel on the strip is Luxor.

Get a pyramid room between floors 10 and 24.
    Don't believe everything you read. 17 of the 20 biggest hotels in the world are in Las Vegas. Not only are they the biggest, majority of them are the best in the world. If you ever complain about anything at most hotels, the issue gets taken care of. Also remember the city has over 134,000 hotel rooms, so you are bound to have some complaints. The term ';you get what you pay for also applies';

Look for hotels on the Vegas strip. Book directly from the hotels using their discount promo code and remember most visitors to Las Vegas spend very little time in their hotel rooms. Here is a good place to start.

    Hello there!

I can recommend a website I've used several times, which is holidaycheck.co.uk/com. The hotel reviews tend to be pretty accurate because they're taken from all the different language versions of the website, so there are a lot! I'm sure you can find plenty of other reviews via google too.

I'd expect the negative reviews are mostly one-offs, unless it's a really bad hotel. Either way, maybe start honing your complaining skills, cause you never know what might happen!

I hope you have a good time! :)
People tend to write a bad review rather than a good review. They are upset with something they wanted and didn't get or they are constant complainers who just love to complain. Probably lost a bundle on the tables in the casino and figured they would win in the end this way.

There are discount hotels in Vegas. They have aged over the years and haven't been updated like others. They serve a purpose by providing low cost rooms to sleep in. If you want to lounge in your room you will pay more.

Stay away from Imperial Palace, Circus Circus, Tropicana and Sahara. They fill the needs of others but not yours. The others are fine for what you want. Get the best price if that is what concerns you and just do it. Make the most of your stay and have fun.
Every major hotel on the strip is going to have nice rooms. If they didn't, they would be empty. I use tripadvisor.com myself for hotels.

Yes, every single hotel on the strip is going to have bad reviews. Some people just can't possibly be pleased. And then there are chronic complainers. So I usually ignore the super bad reviews and the super good reviews and just go with the ones in the middle. And any hotel can have a problem or two with rooms. Imagine your house having over 1,000 bedrooms with a bathroom in them. You think not one single one is going to run out of toilet paper or have the potential for a plumbing problem? And don't forget all the employees! Who can expect every single employee to be happy and helpful every single day?

No matter what, you are going to have a good time. Just don't let the little things bother you (like the mints on your pillow not perfectly centered).
I have stayed at many of the hotels on the Strip and my stays are always five days or longer. I have never seen a bug of any kind. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find any kind of insect in Las Vegas. Even flies or bees are rare because it is so dry.

I have stayed at Treasure Island, the Luxor, the Monte Carlo, the Excalibur and the Imperial Palace. The only one I would not recommend is the Imperial Palace but that was mostly because it is old, smokey and crowded in the Casino and the elevators are so slow there are always lines of people waiting to use them.

The Monte Carlo is very nice as it the Luxor especially the pool areas. Excalibur is a bit crowded but the hotel rooms are nice, too. They are all exceptionally clean.

What is the first thing you would do when you check in to a hotel room?

Be it a 5 star or 1 star hotel...What is the first thing you would do when you check in to a hotel room?
-i'll check the cleanliness and the comfortability of the bathroom first..hehe..

-then i'll test the comfortability of the bed,,

-then the efficiency of the light-air cond,

-then i'll check...the various type of channel that they hav on their televisionWhat is the first thing you would do when you check in to a hotel room?
I'm a safety conscious guy as I was a safety officer before. First thing first, I'll look for the floor plan of the level where my room is located and study the fire evacuation for emergency case. This schematic diagram of the floor plan in frame is displayed conspicuously on the wall at every level of the hotel.
Rip the bedspread off the bed, pull back the sheets, look for signs of lazy maids. Trust me- INSPECT the bedding! You'd be surprised at the number of maids who do not bother to change the sheets or pillowcases. Most hotels give maids 27-30 minutes to clean a room and if even one room sets their time back (and plenty of people leave rooms filthy), the maids WILL take shortcuts or risk being written up. I check the sheets and pillowcases first then look behind and under the furniture for signs of shortcuts. If you find a candy wrapper behind the nightstand the maid took a shortcut - ask for clean sheets!
    if me alone:

take the key, find my room, get into my room, let go of my luggage, switch on every light, turn it off again, check the bathroom, check the wardrobe...... evrything ok?

    ok. now go to sleep.

    if me n family:

hubby take the key, find our room, get into the room, check everything, everything ok? ok.

now, tell my daughter not to play with the phone, tell my son not to jump on the bed, tell my hubby not to switch on the TV so loud........ then, get into the bathroom, have a hot bath.
Take out the anti-bacterial wipes and clean the place down starting with the remote control, light switches, doorknobs, toilet seat, sinks, bathtub floor and faucet handles.

When that's done then I get out my travel pillow-case and put it over the hotel pillow. I also make sure that the sheets and towels are clean (oh it's so easy to tell when they aren't- one little scraggly hair and that's it).

    What?? :)
Put my bags down. Unpack my bathroom gear and check out the bathroom. See what the bed and pillows are like. Check out how much internet is going to cost me. Glance through their ';Guest Guide'; in case there's anything interesting or unusual I didn't know about their services. (If a business trip) Check whether I have an iron and ironing board in the room or if I have to call for one. Look out the windows. See what times room service deliver to. 8-)
Look at the fire exit route on the back of the door!!! could save your life later!

Also, check to see if the windows are locked - especially if it is a first floor room!

I have had many rooms that had the windows unlocked!!!
    Ok, the order...

    1. Open the blinds, check the view

    2. Open the drawer beside the bed to see if there's a Bible, odd thing is I'm not even religious, I just find it curious it's always there! lol
    1)take the key

    2)open the door

3)smell the room whether it's smell good or not..

    4)put my stuff

    5)open the shoe

    6)lay on the comfortable bed

    7)watching tv

    then go out for dinner/lunch..
I've worked as a house keeper at a world famous hotel, and trust me on this, request a clean bedspread and a bottle of clorox to re-clean the bathroom.
usually check the bathroom/beds/cupboard and fridge...

    open the window too
I usually walk around checking everything works - like TV, lights, taps etc :) If that's all good then I flop down on the bed to see if it's comfy!
i will go to the window first! to see outside, whether nice or not...then i'll check the bathroom, follow by mattress, closet, and mini bar...
    unpack
5 star take my luggage up to the room and unpack

1star hotel i would laugh up the way to the room at the cheap decorations
I first check on the rest room then on the windows for security purposes.
Check the smells then the airconds/ fan, to the toilet then hang my clothes.
Check for the cleanliness and comfort of the room and bathroom- roach free and dust free.
Always start with the fan or aircond.. probably they have dust that might kill me while im sleeping...
Check the rooms and closets for someone hiding in them. Then check to see if there are cameras.
Check the cleanliness of the room.
    Urinate
    Shower.
Look in the bathroom and under the bed for the boogy man.
test the bed, switch on the tv and then inspect the whole room
Jump on the bed while waiting for room service to bring in a chocolate milkshake
Pee like a racehorse, gallons and gallons.
After check in I would check out the view from the room
    Room Service : )
    'test drive' the bed...
I check all the drawers and then bathroom to make sure its clean.

When you book a hotel room are you technically renting?

Is there another term used? When you book a hotel room are you technically renting?
I would say renting sounds reasonable, just like when you rent a car. You're paying to use it for a set period of time in both cases.

You should go to Cuba and STAY THERE!!!!!!
    Swim.Say hi to castro.
Nah - - you would have to start making obscene phone calls to The White House in Arabic, and even then that might not work - - Guantanamo is reserved for enemy combatants - - the most you could do is to join the Taliban, pray to get captured while fighting, and maybe you'll get to Cuba. Quite seriously if this isn't tongue in cheek satire and you do desire to visit Cuba, then first go to Mexico City, from there it is an easy transit. Have a good trip.

Would you share a hotel room with a total stranger?

If there were absolutely no other options other than sleeping on a bench at the airport.Would you share a hotel room with a total stranger?
that's what one night stands are for.Would you share a hotel room with a total stranger?
    umm

    it kinda depends

if it's with a guy and we have two beds...MAYBE, if we have one bed, then no

if it's with a girl and one bed...then no, if it's with a girl and two beds, then yes

unless the guy is hot lmfao

    xD

but i'd probably sleep on a bench at the airport. They aren't that bad actually

    :)
    no
i have...i went to my uncles wedding and since we were staying at a resort and mostly everyone going was part of a couple i had to stay in a room with the only other single girl...we becamse good friends after that, it was sooo much fnu bunking with her!
if the room has two beds and free buffet in the morning .i,ve had more than my share of sleeping at airports most of the time i was under orders to report to a new base for training
I'm way to paranoid to share a room with someone I don't know, but I would choose that over sleeping in a public area.

    answer please:

    http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind…
Nah, I've slept on airport benches overnight, and it sucks, but it's a lot safer than sharing a room with a stranger.
Aren't those one night stands? Not anymore,,,,,,,Miss F

If we had separate beds and they didn't mind my porn and booze and smokes..............The Prof
haha...depends, is the stranger male or female? are there 2 beds or 1? are they underage? i mean come on.
As a girl, I'd take the airport and sleep on one of their lounge chair thingy's. It's safer.

    They're quite comfy!
if the stranger was the attractive opposite sex then yes
Yes, If someone looks okay, I better share a room than sleeping on the public bench.
It depends, who is this 'stranger' you speak of?

Most likely I'll take the bench please.
uh no!! i dont want to fear that i'll be STABBED int he middle of the night!!

airports are patrolled and there is video surveillance EVERYWHERE

    airport is fine, thanks!! :D
IF HE WAS ON THE SAME FLIGHT AND WE HAD TALKED , AND THE ROOM HAS TWO BEDS MAY BE .
Depends, is it a stranger from P%26amp;S?
If this stranger was Charlize Theron - why not!
lol Probably not. I'd most likely get into one of ';those aren't pillows'; situations.
    Female only, sure?
most likely no... i'm a guy and would be worried he'd steal my wallet or something and dip out.

if i was a woman, most def not.
    id take the bench
    hello college
    if i was a hooker

    am i a hooker?dom?
After some thought, no way. Airport naps aren't that bad.
Ew, no...You never know if he or she is an ax murderer or a rapist or even will just rob you...
is this total stranger hot? jk...
i would sleep on the bench.
    Airports are nice...
i'll take the hotel room....but i'm locking myself in the bathroom!!
is the stranger a sexy sweet single man? then yes. otherwise, no.
I did that twice when I was in the army.

    take your passport with you
If you need to ask this question, then you are probably too young. Every hotel has its own rules, just like in western countries. Some will rent as young as 18 while others require you to be in your 20s.

All Chinese hotels require foreign guests to provide their passport as proof of identity. Upscale hotels in major cities also require a credit card to secure a room, just like in western countries. Mid priced Chinese hotels and those in smaller cities require a cash or debit card deposit at registration.

If you have to ask, you aren't old enough
According to expedia.com, you have to be ages 19+....
Detail information about China cruise and China tour: http://www.china-cruise.com
It depends on the hotel. I've heard 18, 21 and 25.

On some cruise ships you can't book a room unless you are 25, the exceptions are being married or being in the miltary.
depends on the Hotel. Call and see what thay say
18 most motels (super 8, days inn,..... ) La Quinta, Best western, Holiday inn, ... 21
you have to rule at least one castle.
It depends how seedy the hotel is, and where in the world it is located.
Changes from hotel to hotel. I would suggest a minimum age of 18 but phone up all those you have in mind and ask.
    hmmmmm suspicious....
    21
Oooh you dirty little monkey. Why not ask your mummy. Maybe she can book it for you using her grown-ups credit card. By the way, shouldn't you be in bed by now?
You generally have to be 18, but some places want you to be 21 (ie, hotel/ casinos).
you have to be at least 18 of age to book a hotel.
Usually 18 with a credit card.
    18
If you rent by the hour...they don't ask - you just pay cash, and they give you the key for an hour.

    NOT THAT I WOULD KNOW!
If you are paying cash then you just have to look old enough.
I'm guessing if you have to ask, you're not old enough anyway. And also not old enough to be having sex in some hotel room. :)

How old do you have to be to get a hotel room?

I don't think there's any certain age limit. Just as long as you've got the money, they'll be happy to have you. =)

But call the hotel or check their website just in case. How old do you have to be to get a hotel room?

Beach Bum does not know what he is talking about. If you have a credit card, or cash security, you can rent a hotel room at any age. However, if you look too young, you might

run into a demand that your parent or guardian put up a security guarantee as well against any damages.
You have to be 21 in any town in MA for any hotel establishement which is incorporated as a hotel and not a motel. Motel laws differ city to city.
it depends on the hotel management. you have to be at least 18. I have stayed at some in town that you had to be over 21. but money talks

    call the hotel and ask
18 is the law in MA.
21 is the law in MA and CT.

What can I do about my hotel room?

I am on a business trip and they've hired some really really cheap rooms. I've just been in mine and there are no curtains! I've asked management and they say that they do not supply them for the rooms.

What can I do regarding things such as changing, bathing etc.

    Plus I sleep naked.

All advise welcome thanks xWhat can I do about my hotel room?
No curtains? wtf.....where are you staying...the Motel 2 and a half?

Yeah, I'd call the boss and tell them to pony-up for at least a slightly better room. That's nuts.....or complain to the management about the curtains.

If the place is that bad I'd be more worried about bed bugs that no curtains. What is the hotel name....so we don't ever bother going there? What can I do about my hotel room?
Call your boss and tell them that the conditions are unsatisfactory and unsanitary to work in. Ask them if they can move you to another hotel as this one is unclean and disgusting (I am assuming that it is unclean and nasty if there are no curtains on the windows).

You don't need to tell your boss that you sleep naked, but tell him that you have no privacy due to lack of curtains.

Either that or complain to your boss and tell him that you are going to get adequate accommodations and expense it. They will have to reimburse you when you return from your business trip.

What a bunch of cheap b*stards to put you in a hotel room like that.

Tell them if they keep you in this sh*t hole and refuse to upgrade your accommodations that you will be expensing a steak and lobster dinner and a bottle of Crystal on the company b/c they booked you a room in a crack shack. LOL
    1. If your hotel room is one of a large chain, go up the command chain and complain to a district manager.

    2. Ask for a couple of blankets and hang them in the window.

    3. Best thing is to take pictures of the hotel room, go get another and then claim the cost from your company. Use the pictures as proof.

Call the BBB and post a complaint.
Call your boss, or whoever is responsible for the hotel booking, if you get no luck there, I'd just pay for my own room.
Hang your clothes in front of the window or check out and go somewhere else. How ridiculous, no curtains.

went spain for holiday last week, i was a bit bored, so locked the door and left the key in, and thought i was safe, so decided to give myself a w*nk on the bed, a knock came on the door and it was the maid, so thought i was safe with the key being in the door and locked, next minute she put the key in and the door swung open lol, i could of died on the spot, i didnt know what do so just said can you leave it this time,

i didnt know they had double locks?Should hotel rooms in spain be more private?
lol That really must've sucked.Should hotel rooms in spain be more private?
go to the bathroom next time, you naughty boy
Don't they have DO NOT DISTURB signs in Spain then.
Did the maid polish your door knob
    well...dont **** off in a hotel..?
thats awfull, how rude are they? im not sure why you are embarrassed by someone seeing you winking, lots of people wink.... blinking is a double wink, so come on, don't be shy!
you sad git surely you could have someone to go with male or female
thought all hotel rooms were able to be opened ny chamber maids
    DO NOT DISTURB....use it

or you could have waved several hundred dollars in front of her face as long as she would finish the job you started
yes it should be more private.
They should! and I thought they were. Now that I read what you said, though, I think maids do have the keys, unfortunately, to get inside. I left my hotel room, once, to go eat breakfast, and when I came back everything was straighten and clean.
lol maybe you should have hung the

    ';do not disturb, i'm wanking';

    sign on the door.

22 and need to rent a hotel room?

I'm traveling to Daytona Beach in May. My mom is renting a room for me with her credit card. Do I need her credit card to check in if the room is in my name? Please provide any other suggestions. Again, I'm 22 and know that you need to be at least 21 to rent a room.22 and need to rent a hotel room?
nope. you need either your own card (for incidentals) or some cash up front.

I've never had a hotel require the Credit card you used to hold the reservation with, thats just silly. I've had friends, family, and corporations reserve the room for me when you get there they will ask how you will pay. Give them the CC you are going to pay with. If they ask you can just explain at the desk your mom made the reservation and here is the card you will use. They dont care where they get their money from as long as they get it. If you want to call them thats fine they will tell you the same thing.22 and need to rent a hotel room?
no you don't need your mum's credit card to check in. As long as your mum is paying for your room. But sometimes, the hotel do requires your credit card to gurantee other costs other than room.
I would call the hotel and ask. Usually, they assume you will bring the card that you registered the room under. Call and explain your situation. :)

Is it possible to rent a hotel room for a month/two for a reduced price closer to that of renting an apartment

Need to know if it is possible to do this because I am buying a house and start working in another city before I will be able to be in the house and need a place to stay for a short period of time without spending a whole loty of moneyIs it possible to rent a hotel room for a month/two for a reduced price closer to that of renting an apartment
I'm staying in one right now. Your situation and mine are identical. They are called ';extended stay hotels.'; Shop around for one in your area. Some charge as much or more than regular hotels. The cheap ones are still more expensive than apartments, but you don't have to sign a lease.

Also check out IRS publications 521 (moving expenses) and 463 (travel, entertainment, gift, and car expenses). Depending upon your circumstances, some or all of your expenses may be deductible from your taxes. A little planning beforehand can save you thousands of dollars. Is it possible to rent a hotel room for a month/two for a reduced price closer to that of renting an apartment
Yeah, I have seen a lot of places that do weekly and monthly rentals. You would be suprised at the amount of people living in hotel/motels.
Yes. See the General Manager directly. Bring with you a resume, work acceptance letter, credit reference and a down payment. The hotel will be glad to do this and you may want to work out a reduced housekeeping schedule say weekly/biweekly.
Yes it is. Many hotels are glad to rent a room to a steady person for a month or so.
Searce to see if ';Extend A Stay'; is in the area your moving to. Or just search extended stay hotels. Amerisuites!
You can try a hotel. imagine not having to clean to even make your own bed for a couple of months. =)

You might also try Craiglist.com or backpage.com for short term rental apartments. You might be able to find something to cover you for the time you need it.

Someone who had no idea where i was tracked me down to a hotel room and called my room. How is this possible?

credit card activity and stalker mentality.Someone who had no idea where i was tracked me down to a hotel room and called my room. How is this possible?
You must have left a clue, sounds as tho' the system has failed somewhere along the way.
Probably has your credit account or asked someone that knows that your in that hotel, phoned the hotel and asked for your hotel number
Someone's watching you - hope you were behaving yourself in that hotel room.
Did they know what city you were going to be in? I've had it happen many times where people will call every hotel in the city (mostly to find a cheating husband/wife). Could also be tracked through a frequent guest number, if you have one at that hotel. Someone could conceivably call a reservations 1-800 number and have them track your rewards number (marriott rewards, hilton honors, choice privileges, etc). But there is usually a password or something like that that they need first. Could also be your credit card if they have online access to your credit card...again though, they would need to know your password. It would show up on your credit card as an authorization. If you don't want someone to call your room at 4am, request the front desk to put a ';do not disturb'; on your phone and any calls will go directly to voicemail. I would also change all of my passwords, just in case.

If your under 18 can you still rent a hotel room?

Me and my friend live in Ohio and we want to go to Cedar Point and/or the Kalahari and/or Kings Island, but we want to stay for like two days so we were wondering if two 17 year olds could check into a hotel around thous places without having an adult? And would we be able to get the keys to the hotel room if our parents paid with their credit card even thou we are under age? (We want to stay at Hotel Breakers when we go to cedar Point or Cast away Bay)If your under 18 can you still rent a hotel room?
.....most hotels/motels require you to be 21 to legally get a room. However some smaller and ';mom%26amp;pop'; motels may rent to 18 year oldsIf your under 18 can you still rent a hotel room?
Minimum age requirements vary by hotel brand and area, but you must be AT LEAST 18 to rent a room. This is because at 18 you are legally able to enter into a contract, like the rental contract you will be asked to agree to at check-in at a hotel. Most hotels have a minimum age requirement of 21 because that is the legal drinking age. I would definitely call the hotel before you plan to stay to ensure that you will be able to check-in. Also, many websites like Priceline, Travelweb, Travelocity, and Expedia, will express a minimum age on their websites...if you don't follow that you stand to lose any pre-payment that you made online. Here are some websites I would recommend checking out BEFORE you travel underage...

Hotel rooms & two double beds?

Does anyone know why most hotels have quite a few rooms that have two double beds?

I mean it sort of makes sense if you are traveling with a family - kids in one bed parents in another...but for many business travelers they are alone or with their spouse - why do you need two beds. It seems like a waste of space and expense for hotel chains to offer so many of these types of rooms. Why not offer double, queen or king with only a few double rooms? Maybe it's changing but for a while it seemed that the 2 beds were the norm.

The only thing I could think of is from puritan laws - All couples staying overnight in a hotel must have a room with double beds that are at least two feet apart.

Please help - for some reason I'm fixated on this stupid question.Hotel rooms %26amp; two double beds?
They can make more money with two beds rather than one ... I know hotels where the double beds are actually two singles box springs and one double mattress ...

  • How do hotel room key cards work?

I was told that my card would expire at normal checkout time and they had to recode it to allow me a late checkout. Since it is only magnetic info on the card that can't ';expire';, how does the lock know to keep me out if I don't recode the card? They didn't do anything to the lock, so what are they doing to the card to let it work for 1 more hour? How do hotel room key cards work?
All the hotel room locks are wired back to a central computer in the hotel. When they issue you a key card, they run it through a magnetic wirter that puts certain data on the stripe. When you insert the card into the lock, the lock sends the info back to the computer, which then tells to lock to unloack and let you in.

If you never turn your card back in, say you just drop it in a trash can, someone else could pick it up and get into the room. That's why the code on the card is only good until checkout. If you stay longer, they can change the code in the computer, but your card needs to be updated with that new code. Just like magnetic tape, the stripe can be written, and rewritten, to it.How do hotel room key cards work?
I don't think they ';re-coded'; your card as they said, but just gave you a new card with a new access code. Their system is set up so that any change in check-in/check-out status generates a new ';lock'; or access code (which keeps former guests from using their old cards and coming into your room).

It's not the information on the key/card that expires but the information on the lock.
My son does Mar-lock systems as part of his job. When I see him tonight (I live with him) I can get this info for you.

    Hotel rooms versus town house...?

ok...me, my girlfriend and another couple are looking for somewhere to go for spring break next year...

we went to daytona beach this year...and it was fun, but we want somewhere different this year.

we stayed in a hotel before...which we thought was a good deal at about 100 dollars a night, but i have been looking in to these townhomes that are offered to rent for like a week at a time...and they are only like 700 dollars for the whole time...and we could put both couples in one house

has anyone done this type of vactationing before??? all 4 of us are 20 which may make a bump in the road...but let me know about how to go through this process..a good site to go through, and any experiences please

    thanks alot

    mikeHotel rooms versus town house...?
For the $$$$, the townhouse is a better deal! In a hotel, you may or may not have a fridge, microwave, safe for valuables. In a townhouse, you will have a kitchen, and won't be as likely to need a safe. It will be more comfortable to relax in, if needed. You may not spend much time there, but if you do, you will enjoy it much more. The price sounds about equal, I'd go with the townhouse.

My wife and I went to Mexico for our honeymoon and stayed in a condo. The next year, we went back and stayed in a hotel. The condo was much better!

Number of people in a hotel room?

Im planning on staying at a quality inn. If I tell them that theres 2 of us(rather than the 4 there is) We save about $215.00. They can't really prove that we have 4 people there. we could just say they're visiting, right?Number of people in a hotel room?
If you are getting two beds it should include 4 people. If its that much more for 2 more people stay somewhere else. Plus you don't think they'll notice 4 people walking inwith extra bags. I use to work in a hotel that didn't allow pets people would sneak them in and think we didn't know but they got charged extra. They have your credit number they can and will charge it if they find you lying.Number of people in a hotel room?
i dont think it matters. i think its stupid how they charge by the number of people rather than a room. just dont let them really notice that theres 4 people. most hotels have side doors that you can open if youre already checked in. just have them wait there until you get your key and all that.
Does it really matter? I don't think they care. You pay by the room, not by the number of people. For my friend's birthday we all slept over in a nice hotel room, but there wasn't enough beds so we told the hotel people and they brought us up more beds!

Paying for hotel room via credit card?

Okay, I've ordered a room in a hotel via a credit card, and entered all the details for it. They have said I won't be charged til I check out, but I'm wondering if I have to bring the card with me, or is it automatically charged as I've already given the details. Has anybody booked a hotel via this way? It's just my parents credit card and they'd have to put my name on the card for me to use it.Paying for hotel room via credit card?
When you book a room online, they expect you to bring the card with you. They'll want to see it when you check in %26amp; when you check out you have to produce the card again to pay the final bill, then you pay. If you incur additional costs while you're staying in the hotel - room service, charge drinks to the room, etc. They need you to check that the expenses are all yours %26amp; that you agree to pay them.

In this case, you won't be able to present the card - if the credit card is in your parents name, you can't use it to pay.

If you don't have a credit or debit card in your own name, you need to tell them when you sign in %26amp; they will probably expect you to pay a certain amount up front in cash - give them a ring %26amp; ask them what the arrangement around paying in cash is so you'll have enough with you.Paying for hotel room via credit card?
I work in a hotel, we need the credit card at the time of payment and it has to be your signature on the back which has to match the name on the front of the card if there is one and we need another form of picture ID to show that it is you. Not sure about most hotels but it should be common practice for security reasons.
They won't have taken the payment, so you will need to bring the card. They will have just validated it. You will still be able to pay with cash if you prefer to do that, and your card won't be charged.

I think they do it so you can't do a runner without paying!!

I hear you should barter over prices in Turkey, but I'm staying in a fancier hotel. I'm guessing that bartering over the price isn't cool, but who knows...Should I barter over the price of my hotel room in Turkey?
I can't guess what you can 'barter' with a hotel room price but if you mean 'bargain' , well, you can send the hotel an e-mail and ask for a discount.

Better yet, contact a tourism agency and do your reservation via them and since they usually have special pricing arrangements with certain hotels; they can give you a better price.Should I barter over the price of my hotel room in Turkey?
U mean bargain. Yes u can but if it's a member of a series of hotels. Say; if they are Club Med, Hillside or WOW Hotels i'm not sure that u'll get a price cut. Still bargain over the phone before u go, at least u can have an idea when it's cheaper to go or if they have any special offers. Bargaining over the price may not sound the coolest but trust me paying the high bill in the end of your purchase is the least cool of all. When u think u can, bargain always

Where do u think me n my partner can have sex apart from our homes n hotel rooms ??

oh gosh. i'm assuming you are a teen and i am strongly encouraging you not to have sex at your age. there is a time and place for that, but now is not it. marriages where people have sex beforehand fall apart almost every time. why are you setting youself up for that. you know the term 2nd virgin? i know it sounds funny, but it's when women have ';been there and done that'; and realized that it's not worth it and want to wait for marriage. i implore you to think about it...Where do u think me n my partner can have sex apart from our homes n hotel rooms ??
block's stairs where nobody will know you
    um yo car
If you have to ask this question, especially here in the Adolescent category, you and your partner shouldn't be having sex, point blank and period.
    In your minds and dreams.
Perhaps you and your partner should get your own place since you think you are all grown up. Then you don't have to worry about your parents catching you. And please use protection.
    Go camping.
    The street
a great place to have sex is in the car even if its in your own driveway. it makes you feel like your living on the edge even if its not far from home.
OK, I personally love Baseball, so one time I done this, go out on a baseball field, get on a blanket, and in the dugout, it is great. Another great thing to do, is have sex in the rain, it feels GREAT, and also a trampoline is great to.

How can i make the air in my hotel room not so dry?

i am at a hotel and the heat only goes on really hot. the air is so dry and our noses and throats are really taking a toll. is there anything i can do to get some moist air in here? i dont knw if keeping a window open letting freezing air in will meet the warm air and make it a little damper or if i should boil water or something. any advice will help a lot thanksHow can i make the air in my hotel room not so dry?
I travel a lot for work. I have been creating a humidifier by filling the ice bucket with water, wetting a hand towel. I put the ice bucket on the heater, place one end of the towel in the bucket the other fanned out over the vent. I use the fan but I bet it would work with the heat as well. So as the air passes through the wet towel it adds moisture and as the towel dries it draws more water from the bucket. It is amazing when I am in Colorado and other dry areas that the bucket is empty in the morning.

GodluckHow can i make the air in my hotel room not so dry?
Turn on the hot water in the shower and open the door so it will flow through the room. This should help...hope you don't run out of hot water. This is wasteful but it will help you breathe better.
    Two choices that work:

    1) Fill up the bathtub with hot water

    2) Soak some big towels in water and hang them up where ever possible. As the towel dries, it will moisturize the air in the room.
fill the tub with hot water and leave it til you need the tub
If there is a small kitchen in the room put some pans filled w/ water on top of the heater and it will add some moisture in the room. you could always ask the front desk to use a pan from the kitchen in the hotel.
try putting or hanging some wet towels in front of or near { be sure not to start a fire} the heater. as the warm air passes the moist towels they should pick up the moisture, drying the towels, and humidifying the air.
Two ideas, the first one is to get a humidifier and the second is to turn the hot water on in the bathroom and let the steam build up.
Vaporizer. Small, portable, runs on their electricity, adds moisture and could even have a scent added if desired.
Leave some hot water in the bath tub.
....let shower run on hot and ';steam'; the room a bit....... or travel with ';little steamer'; for clothes...(you have to refill a few times.....they are just about $10........little humidifier......

When going on vacation should a person's hotel room be ON the beach or 10 or so miles from the beach?

Depends on what you can afford and where you come from (ie: your feeling about water)

If you can afford it, and you are from inland, you might want to get as close to the beach as possible. The sound of the water is very relaxing and the change of scenery does wonders for your peace of mind. Unless of course bad weather is expected, then you have a front row seat for the impending disaster.

If you don't have a lot of money, suggestion is to stay a good distance away to save money. You can visit there for a day and do lots more in town to break up your daily routine. The idea of a vacation is to change up your usual rut to get you to relax and do different things for a change. So go do them! When going on vacation should a person's hotel room be ON the beach or 10 or so miles from the beach?
A place on the beach is going to be much more expensive, so if cost is a factor, staying farther away will save some cash. When going on vacation should a person's hotel room be ON the beach or 10 or so miles from the beach?
I prefer to be on the beach, but the further away the cheaper the cost.
If you can afford it, right on the beach! Cheaper the farther away you get from the beach, though. Are you worried about tsunamis, or hurricanes? I'm not making fun of you. I figure the tsunami thing is a crap shoot...and if they warn of one coming, get to high ground immediately. Hurricanes, you'll know about way before they hit. So I'd go for a beach front place if you can.

How old do you have to be to rent a hotel room in Vancouver?

I will be 17 when I go to Canada on the Amtrak train, I will have a passport %26amp; everything else needed to pass the border. How old do you have to be to rent out a hotel room in Vancouver, BC?

Say I had the cash to pay for it all, but I wasn't of age, could someone else provide their ID if they're over 18+ under their name, but I would be staying there?

Any ideas? How old do you have to be to rent a hotel room in Vancouver?
As far as I know, you have to 18 to enter into any legal agreement without a co-signer (or in your case, an adult to put their name on it instead of yours). How old do you have to be to rent a hotel room in Vancouver?
You cannot enter into any contract, whether it is for a hotel room or a credit card, until you are of legal age... that being 18.

Do you check for hidden camera when you check into a hotel room?

    How?

Do you check for hidden camera when you check into a hotel room?
I don't cos I've got nothing interesting to show nor would anyone in their sane mind would want to watch me.Do you check for hidden camera when you check into a hotel room?
interesting question; most 5 or 4 star hotels wouldn't do it, its bad for their reputations; but its difficult to say for 3-star hotels. most hotel managers wouldn't do it, the people most likely to do it would be the hotel staff, whatever their reasons are. It really depends on which country you are in! because the rating of a hotel differs from country to country! for 3-star hotels its difficult to say! could be a nice room with 2 beds, a bathroom, a TV and a drawer or two, but there might be a hidden camera in one of the lamp fixtures or smoke detector or ceiling lights...
One-way mirrors are easy to spot if you know how. All you need is a flashlight.

Shine the flashlight at the mirror and move it closer and closer to the mirror until it is touching the mirror. If it is a one-way mirror, you will be able to see through the mirror, like a tinted window. A true mirror will just reflect the light; you will not be able to see through it. If you hold a flashlight right up against the mirror and the light shines inside, you have a one-way mirror. With a true mirror the light from the flashlight will be totally reflected, and you won鈥檛 be able to see through it at all, even with a flashlight. Using the same technique with a flashlight, you should be able to see a camera if there is one behind the one way mirror.
I do check but only on places where it has the best possible view of the bed and rest room.

If there is camera hidden somewhere, one tell tale sign would be that the device which house the hidden camera does not nblend in the room well. Example, if you notice that the colour of the smoke detector is new, then beware.

In the rest room, any mirror that is slightly tinted, beware. Knock the wall a little and hear the sound. Hollow? Beware.
Well in the United States, as far as I know it's illegal to put hidden cameras up without your consent; but in a foreign country I don't think those laws apply.

Your best bet would be to just ask the hotel manager, or course they can just lie, but for a secret to stay a secret, needs fewer people to know about it.
I just wanted to add, that someone once told me that u can tell a mirror is a hidden device when you place the tip of your finger on it and there should be a small gap between your finger and it's reflection in the mirror, if there isn't one, it isnt a real mirror and a hidden cam could be behind it. That's all i know.
LOL... if it's hidden well, you'll likely never find it.

    Just don't do anything you wouldn't want anyone else to know about. As the old saying goes, ';If you don't want it in the newspaper, don't do it';
5 or 6 star hotel ? only small hotel may do that . how to check ? do you want to spend 200 + for the device ? or any cheap device to check this ? where to buy ?
No because its illegal to put one in , if your in a reputable place you shouldn't have any worries.
No i dont but i admit that i should...
Why . What are you doing to be so nervous
    No-I don't.
    No, i don't

I would have to say 18, unless you hotel manager feels pity for you.

You'll need a credit card, usually in your own name.

The first time I rented a hotel room, it wasn't till I was 18.

Best advice is call the hotel yourself and ask them. They would have you answer then anyone else on this website. How old do you have to be to stay in a hotel room?
    there's really no age.

they don't i.d. you or anything.

as long as you have your dad's credit card, that's erally all they want, and they're not gonna ask you any questions or anything.
The hotel's website will usually state this somewhere. Most are usually either 18 or 21.

A few hotels may ask for ID, but not many do. Especially if you have a credit card to put on file with them.
you can be as young as you want to STAY in a hotel room

To actually rent one under your name, you must be 18

Arizona State Law requires you to be 21 to rent a hotel room?

I'm going to Arizona on December 28th to spend time with my girlfried and I'm currently trying to figure everything out does anyone know if you have to be at least 21 to rent a hotel room?Arizona State Law requires you to be 21 to rent a hotel room?
    girlfriend,... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.... ;)

dude,.. just go online,... find a hotel in arizona,. and shoot them an email and ask,...Arizona State Law requires you to be 21 to rent a hotel room?
some places may let you get a room anyway, depending on where you go.
usually you have to be 21 to rent a hotel room. the reason for this is because when you sign in to the hotel, you are actually entering a contract agreement. if you are under 21 you are not of legal age to enter into a contract agreement. you must be at least 21 years of age. this is true in every state i have lived in so, it is probably true in Arizona as well.
If that's true ..it sucks ..people are married at the age of 21 with wife and children .what are they meant to do. when travelling through Arizona and needing a place to stay the night ..
    hate when that happens
by law you have to be.21. to rent a room there my opion ???
I rented a hotel room when I was 18, that was a long time ago now though.
18 Years of age I think. They wont give you a beer cabinet key unless your 21. Call the hotel to be sure. Also best if g/f is of legal age to. Warren Jeffs got in trouble with those minor girls a little north of here in www.coloradocityarizona.net.

    Be safe.
No you do not have to be 21 , I just called days Inn [1-800- days inn] and they confirmed that 18 years old is OK . Which makes sense because an 18 year old person is considered to be an adult and therefore any contract signed by an 18 y.o. is a valid contract.

    have fun
First, you are old enough to enter into an enforcable contract at 18 - the legal age of adulthood. Second, depends on the hotel. Some choose not to accept under 21 and others will accept reservations only with a credit card to back the reservation if you are a no show and others will only take Credit cards %26amp; not debit to hold. I usually stay at Motel 6 whenever I travel to the North country of AZ and I just make the reservation online. I believe they do ask for a card but I use my debit with no issues and they do not actually charge the card until check-in (many places charge at the time of the reservation).
