Reviews Of Hotel Rooms In LAS VEGAS, HELP!?

So ok...lately i've been reading different ';reviews'; from different websites of Las Vegas, NV hotel rooms and now im scared!

Scared of what...not getting my money's worth and i do need something a little cheap for the weekend next month (got a wedding to attend to).

And all the reviews i've read so far are saying ';Don't Stay Here! Its NOT Worth It, This %26amp; That Is Was Wrong With It, etc...';

***Especially when they say the bath tub clogs up with someone else's left over hair from days before ';Ewww';!!

***Or saying they saw a cockroach running around, the room's carpet has some sort of stain with mildew smell, and the bed sucks you in between that its too uncomfortable to pass out on!

So my question is...

What Hotel Is Worth Staying @ For 2Nights (ON THE STRIP) For A Cheap Price? (for friday and saturday night)

OR Better Yet...

Which website would YOU recommend to me for ';true, honest'; reviews of Las Vegas Hotel Room?

Thanks For All Your Help!

:)Reviews Of Hotel Rooms In LAS VEGAS, HELP!?
The only hotels I wouldn't really want to stay at is Imperial Palace, Tropicana, and Harrah's. Not because there is anything wrong with them, but they are budget hotels and they show it. I prefer to pay a budget price, but still be in a nice room.

For the best price, location, and room I would definitely recommend Excalibur. You cannot trust any reviews on this hotel because since it is deemed a budget hotel, most people assume the worst, or maybe even look for what's wrong with it. In all honesty it is my favorite hotel to stay in. It is located within walking distance to everything, only a 10-15 minute scenic walk to center strip. It currently has rates from $36/night (how can you beat that), and for just $10-$20 more per night (still a bargain) you can upgrade to their Newly renovated Widescreen room which I highly recommend. They are beautiful with nice warm tones, a marble countertop in the bathroom, and a 42'; widescreen tv. When you are in that room, you feel like you are in an upscale hotel at a budget price. They have great restaurants, a great food court with Quiznos, McDonalds, Krispy Kreme, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and more. They are connected to Luxor and Mandalay Bay through an inside walkway/mall, and are right across the street from MGM Grand. Their casino is huge, but all layed out in one big square so it is easier to find your way around. Their cocktail waitresses are great about coming around often for free drinks, and you can play forever with $5 on a nickel video poker machine.

Some others to consider are

Luxor from $50/night

Monte Carlo from $49/night

New York New York from $55/nightReviews Of Hotel Rooms In LAS VEGAS, HELP!?

2, Bally's Hotel Las Vegas

3645 Las Vegas Boulevard South

3, Holiday Inn Express Nellis Las Vegas

4035 North Nellis Boulevard

4, Golden Nugget Hotel Las Vegas

129 East Fremont Street
Howard Johnson. Can be cheap. Put your highest price your willing to stay at on the Strip thru priceline.com, personally my midweek offer of $26.00 got me the Stratosphere. Good deal!

Fri/Sat/Sun are the highest $$$ room rates. No refunds thru priceline.com name your own price.
Don't believe everything you read. Harrahs and the Flamingo are just fine mid strip, actually I thing Harrahs has better rooms and a better Buffet.
On the strip i would pick either the Tropicana, Imperial Palace is good or the Flamingo or Ballys.. I usually stay at the orleans off the strip due to cheap rooms..
My friend when to Circus Circus and like it there.

All my best.
I think you are worrying too much. All major hotels on the strip can be stayed at without being grossed out. Still, having said that, and having stayed at many of them over the years, the ones that I wouldn't stay at are Circus Circus, Imperial Palace, and (because of the bad location -- not the rooms) the Stratosphere. Places like Circus and Imperial Palace may be $10 to $30 cheaper per night, but saving that small amount of money is a bad tradeoff when you can get much higher quality rooms (with better maid service) for just that little bit more.

I pretty much agree with what others here have advised as to what hotels to avoid and which are reasonable to consider.
When I look at the reviews, there are 3 things I look at:

1) Whether the person states the positives and the negatives.

2) The most recent comments.

3) And how many of the same comments are made.

To me if a person only dwells on the good or the bad, they are a bit biased. If the complaints are 5 months or more old, chances are the issue got fixed. If they are the only one to complain about the one issue, chances are they are picky.

With that said, as much as I personally don't care for the Excalibur, it is cheap stay for on the strip. The more central you get, the higher the prices.
Let me first say I am a Las Vegas regular. Was there three weeks ago, last weekend and I am going again in three weeks. I go about 12 time a year (from Southern California) and I stay from 3-5 nights per trip. Now, I must also say that my rooms are comped (free), but, I still know most of the hotels. I usually stay at the Hilton, but it's pricey if you're paying.

Try the El Cortez. It's an older place with nice rooms, a couple of blocks from downtown. Good restaurants inside. Request a Tower Room. I have some friends that have found good rates at the Stratosphere and the Rivera. Try their web sites. Forget the reviews. Some people are happy if the room only has two cockroaches, some people aren't happy with a suite. I require clean, quiet, and in a safe neighborhood.

Hope this helps.
Some people just respond to respond. They think they should go on the cheap and when they have to pay more than they want, they pan the hotel.

All hotels are checked by the various entities. A bug or two are not unusual when you are in the middle of the Mohave Desert. And some of the bugs are carried by those people coming to the hotel. However, if you saw a bug or the carpet was dirty, etc., you contact the hotel management and they would fix it or change your room.

The deals in Vegas are very good right now. Check out local TV Channel 8 for links www.lasvegasnow.com

Personally I make up my own mind, including movies or TV shows, and not depend on thought addled thoughts of strangers
I recently returned from a trip to vegas n we stayed at the stratosphere I believe we paid 34 buck for our room it was a thursday but the weekends are pretty cheap there also....Our room was very very nice the swimming pool was awesome. I mean real good environment. I highly recomend it if u want something inexpensive...
29% of guest reviews on TripAdvisor rate Imperial Palace as ';poor'; or ';terrible'; so I would not stay there. That was out of about 1,600 reviews so that's called a valid sample size. (Generally, 400 or more responses make up an accurate opinion sampling... I used to work in market research)

On the other hand, about 10% of people are chronic complainers. They'll always find something to complain about no matter how fantastic and perfect their experience was.

Last year when I was researching a trip to Las Vegas, Wynn had repeated and numerous complaints about rude employees. This year, that isn't an issue. So sometimes a problem is only temporary. Such as complaints about the elevators at Mirage not working a few months ago.

What I would do, if you want to thoroughly research your question, is go to tripadvisor.com, look up reviews for the hotels you're considering, and calculate the percentage of ';excellent'; and ';very good'; reviews written and compare it to the percentage of ';poor'; and ';terrible'; reviews.

So if you find that Hotel A has 25% favorable and 15% unfavorable reviews while Hotel B has 45% favorable and 12% unfavorable reviews... you can be confident that Hotel B is a better choice.

In my opinion, the best low priced hotel on the strip is Luxor.

Get a pyramid room between floors 10 and 24.
Don't believe everything you read. 17 of the 20 biggest hotels in the world are in Las Vegas. Not only are they the biggest, majority of them are the best in the world. If you ever complain about anything at most hotels, the issue gets taken care of. Also remember the city has over 134,000 hotel rooms, so you are bound to have some complaints. The term ';you get what you pay for also applies';

Look for hotels on the Vegas strip. Book directly from the hotels using their discount promo code and remember most visitors to Las Vegas spend very little time in their hotel rooms. Here is a good place to start.

Hello there!

I can recommend a website I've used several times, which is holidaycheck.co.uk/com. The hotel reviews tend to be pretty accurate because they're taken from all the different language versions of the website, so there are a lot! I'm sure you can find plenty of other reviews via google too.

I'd expect the negative reviews are mostly one-offs, unless it's a really bad hotel. Either way, maybe start honing your complaining skills, cause you never know what might happen!

I hope you have a good time! :)
People tend to write a bad review rather than a good review. They are upset with something they wanted and didn't get or they are constant complainers who just love to complain. Probably lost a bundle on the tables in the casino and figured they would win in the end this way.

There are discount hotels in Vegas. They have aged over the years and haven't been updated like others. They serve a purpose by providing low cost rooms to sleep in. If you want to lounge in your room you will pay more.

Stay away from Imperial Palace, Circus Circus, Tropicana and Sahara. They fill the needs of others but not yours. The others are fine for what you want. Get the best price if that is what concerns you and just do it. Make the most of your stay and have fun.
Every major hotel on the strip is going to have nice rooms. If they didn't, they would be empty. I use tripadvisor.com myself for hotels.

Yes, every single hotel on the strip is going to have bad reviews. Some people just can't possibly be pleased. And then there are chronic complainers. So I usually ignore the super bad reviews and the super good reviews and just go with the ones in the middle. And any hotel can have a problem or two with rooms. Imagine your house having over 1,000 bedrooms with a bathroom in them. You think not one single one is going to run out of toilet paper or have the potential for a plumbing problem? And don't forget all the employees! Who can expect every single employee to be happy and helpful every single day?

No matter what, you are going to have a good time. Just don't let the little things bother you (like the mints on your pillow not perfectly centered).
I have stayed at many of the hotels on the Strip and my stays are always five days or longer. I have never seen a bug of any kind. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find any kind of insect in Las Vegas. Even flies or bees are rare because it is so dry.

I have stayed at Treasure Island, the Luxor, the Monte Carlo, the Excalibur and the Imperial Palace. The only one I would not recommend is the Imperial Palace but that was mostly because it is old, smokey and crowded in the Casino and the elevators are so slow there are always lines of people waiting to use them.

The Monte Carlo is very nice as it the Luxor especially the pool areas. Excalibur is a bit crowded but the hotel rooms are nice, too. They are all exceptionally clean.
