How old do you have to be to rent a hotel room in canada?

for MOST hotels as long as you have a credit card you can stay. If you don't have one they usually want a deposit laid out and want you to be 21. Some do say 21 (with or without a credit card) but there are very few of those left. How old do you have to be to rent a hotel room in canada?
