my question is regarding booking a room with a credit card, i don't own a credit card but was wondering if all the details of the hotel and room choice show up on a credit card bill? or would it just show the price and the hotel name? any feedback would be wonderful!!Using a credit card to book a hotel room?
Typically it just says the hotel name and the total charge.
Its just like if you go to a store, it doesn't say what you bought, it only says the store name and the amount. Same thing at a restaurant, only the restaurant name and the total amount. (sometimes restaurants will show up as 2 charges, 1 for the bill and 1 for the tip if you put the tip on the credit card.Using a credit card to book a hotel room?
Just the hotel and the price. Are you trying to hide something?
Yes it will only show hotel name and price
From the times I've stayed at hotels, it showed only the hotel name, the city/state and the amount.
Your credit card will show two or three items:
1. The billing entity - this will usually be the hotel you stayed at, but it might say Starwood, for example, if you stay at a Sheraton because Starwood owns Sheraton.
2. The total charge at check out - this will include the room fee and daily tax (x the number of nights you stayed) plus any mini-bar or other charges you might incur
3. Sometimes there will be a phone number or website address associated with the billing entity (that you could call for customer service)
I hope this helps!
