hi i live in the uk and i want to visit las Vegas end November beginning of December 2009. i am booking my own flights but want to know any good cheap websites to book through or is it best just to book 1 night accommodation from here find a cheap room out there staying on the strip. thank youLas vegas hotel rooms?
Hi we also live in the UK and are going to Vegas in September for our 5th visit . We booked our trip through a travel agent who got us good rates on flights and accommodation. But if you go independently I would try Vegas.com the official website that gives you all the info you need and all the hotel rates, which at the moment are very good because of the recession.Anyway have a great time I know you will we do.Las vegas hotel rooms?
You should book your hotel room in advance. It's the best way to ensure that you'll have a place to stay and you can get a better rate by booking ahead.

Book directly with the hotel. If you see the rates drop between the time you book and the time you get there, call the hotel and ask them for the lower rate. They will always give it to you.

What hotel you book with depends on your budget. The best and most concise review of all Las Vegas hotels is at a great website called www.cheapovegas.com.

Read the reviews there and make a determination of which hotel you want to stay in.

Good luck. Have a great trip!
December can actually be a busy time of year depending on the day. You'll want to book your trip in advance.

One suggestion I can make right off the bat is to decide if you are staying, downtown, on the strip, or off the strip. If you have no car then you want to be on The Strip.

Websites are all about the same. Why? Because there are 3 ways to book.

1. A consolidator. Like Expedia, Hotwire, etc. What they do is BUY a block of rooms at a pre negotiated rate. Then they resell those rooms for as much as they can get. They bury the real costs in ';package deals';. Sometimes you get a better rate sometimes you don't. Hotels do this because it guarantees them sold rooms whether they are booked or not. There are times when Consolidators are the only people that have rooms left at busy times. Your best bet is to pick a couple you like and shop them. You shouldn't be surprised to find out there are only a hand ful of BIG Corporations that own these sites... and the site names are just brands. If you want to know more about who owns what you'll find it here: http://www.kidsinvegas.com/lowest-las-ve鈥?/a>

2. You can book direct with the Hotel... I'd advise this as a serious option... first pick your resorts and then call their toll free numbers... I don't know if you'll pay long distance because of oversea calls even though they are toll free. But you want to know the Hotels Rates BEFORE you check the consolidators. If you were local I'd say call the Hotel Desk not the reservations line.. you sometimes get better deals that way.

3. Let a Travel Agent find the deals for you... they end up tying into a major booking database. Travelocity is a subsidiary of Sabre (Which is one of 2 major ';Booking Engines'; the Travel Agents use.

Bottom line is you end up funneling your money to one of a handful of big corporations. Don't worry about commissions... all websites pay commissions to someone, all Travel Agents get commissions, you can't by pass them and it won't save you any money.

Your job is simply to understand the Corporate Sales funnel then use it to your advantage. Try all 3 methods to find your best price.

Locally there are 3 players... i4vegas, vegas.com, lasvegas.com ... the last two are run by Greenspun Media Group a huge local property developer and media publisher.

Now you have a bit of web browsing to do then make your deal. I'd book a December trip about 6-8 weeks before your intended stay. Too soon and you may miss the fall promotions, too late and you may get gouged when available rooms disappear.
It would probably be best to book your room ahead of time rather than waiting to get here. Kind of a hassle that way. Look for hotels on the strip and not off the strip. You will be spending most of your time on the strip so better to just stay there. When you narrow down to several just ask and we will help you decide between your choices. Figure what budget you have and choose that way.
www.lasvegasnow.com is Local TV 8 web and has all kinds of direct links. Right now the hotels have great deals and each hotel has its own web site. From experience those other sites are not the best deals. Check out the web site for Excalibur Hotel, Tropicana Hotel, and Flamingo Hotel
The best way to get a great deal on hotel rooms in Vegas is to book directly from the hotels using their discount promo codes to get the maximum discounts. Here are a few codes. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/special.p鈥?/a>
Check out the Flamingo.

It isn't the greatest hotel, but it is on the strip and my buddy got a room for $29 a night in November.
Book directly with your desired hotel for the best price. In addition keep an eye om http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com - it has the latest promo codes for various Las Vegas hotels.
This is the best site for Vegas information.
Look for Las Vegas bargains at

I use Expedia or E bookers or Opedo to get an idea or the price and then check Netfights.co.uk , they seem to have some good deals at the moment
Expedia

Priceline

Travelocity
