I'm 16, and I want to rent a hotel at the Hilton Americas with some friends for two nights. My parents are considering the idea, but none of us know whether or not an adult needs to actually be on site with us. I know one must be an adult to rent a room, to sign the papers and such, but does that person have to stay there as well?
Thank you very much in advance for your time =)If one is under 18 and gets an adult to rent a hotel room for him/her, does the adult still have to chaperone?
Nope. They do not have to stick around. Cool parents. Better give them a BIG hug today!

I would say yes, because if something happens, the adult would be held responsible.
An adult doesn't need to be there but anything that happens they are responsible for.
